APPRENTICE POSITION FOR J&L GREEN FARM, EDINBURG, VA
J&L Green Farm, operated by former Polyface apprentice Jordan Green and his wife, Laura is seeking an intern for the 2010 season.
Term is April 1st – October 31st. Longer is acceptable, shorter is not.
Housing, cooler/freezer privileges are provided and a monthly stipend of $300. Every other Sunday off as well as one weekend a month. Working Sundays consist mainly of morning and evening chores.
Experience is not required, attitude and initiative is everything.
We are a Polyface subcontractor and produce salad bar beef and lamb, forest finished pork, pastured chicken and duck eggs as well as assisting in managing several acres of berries. Work will consist of daily chores, infrastructure development and customer interaction.
